    1. I have been working on how I perceive depth and showing it more in a painting so I explored the background more and noticed how brilliantly the sun shone on this subject in contrast. The feeling of the sun shining on me was a relief from some emotional darkness I had been experiencing, and drew me to notice the lively bees and colorful blossoms all the more. Painting this gave me a shared experience with my friend, who photographed my 2nd reference, and creating a lasting reminder through the painting enhanced my feeling of thankfulness.

    1. Happy Easter Jack! You were the first to respond to this post, and I hid an “Easter Egg” here. If you know someone raising money for a mission trip, please send me the link and I will make a donation. Have a thankful Good Friday in honor of our gracious Lord!
