Introductory print techniques for children. Engraving recycled foam with an ink pen positive (inked engraving) and negative prints (stamping) can be made from the same etching . Josiah  Spode  (  I , II , III ) used transfer printing from copper etching to paper to plate so the finished print was not reversed from the original. Spode ‘ s famous Blue Willow pattern was engraved by Thomas Minton in the late 1700’s, was widely copied, and is still being produced today.
