That 20 x 30″ painting I started last week is still coming along. There have been several stages to this project, including the ‘country’ images recently posted. Here are some layers along the way. Isn’t it alarming how much distortion a camera produces unless it is squared up and the lighting is balanced. I am learning a great deal about photographing images. If you look up on the new banner, you can see that the newer paintings are better lit (excepting the works-progress-shots).

Finished Barn 20 x 30″ is still a work in progress, but I am learning a lot about my new Arches 400 lb watercolor paper (a reprise of ‘Happy Birthday to Me’ is playing in my head).

  1. Glad you have such a lovely big work table. Yes, it’s hard to get angles right with the camera. Most of the time, I just say “oh well” and enjoy my photos anyway. 🙂

    1. When I was working, I didn’t want to stop at each stage and fiddle with everything to make the camera cooperate, so I just made snapshots and moved on. ….. It is the same with my art kit, if everything is accessible and I can set up quickly, it is better than having all of my paints in ROYGBIV order.
