Well, I graduated, and I promised myself to drop that “freshman forty” and “sophomore study snacks” right after graduation. Since I am a mom, I am putting the jogging off until Monday after two birthday parties, a graduation, and Mother’s Day.
Since I live in a rather small town in Texas, my first morning walk was around the town square, which is a grassy field with a wooden podium across from the volunteer fire station and community center, and a loop down the side street beside the post office that’s only open half-days. There are lots of worthy painting subjects on the route, and halfway through my walk I set up the easel and started painting this historic church. The next day I went back again to catch the earlier light. Today I will go out for the third time to complete the church painting. It’s not jogging, but I am carrying my gear and walking the dog.
